SUMMER SPECIAL – LITTLE MUNCHKINS STAY AND PLAY

Monday 1st August 10:00am – 11:30am Finmere Village Hall

Due to everyone making the most of the Summer and going away, Little Munchkins have decided to host two more sessions on the 1st August & 22nd August. They have created it as an event so they have an idea of numbers. Please let them know if you can make it. Lots to play with, messy play and water play. Plenty of snacks, music and fun.
£6 per family for up to two children
£2 for extra children



KID’S CLUB – TEXTILE CRAFTS AND SEWING FOR CHILDREN

Monday 1st August 1:00pm – 4:00pm Stitching Kitchen, Top Station Road, Brackley

Kids Club Textile art based holiday activities including weaving, printing, folk art stitch, pom-poms felting and more!

In these child led sessions Jo will support, encourage and teach skills in both hand and machine sewing and various textile based crafts including knitting.

Small groups with two textile based craft activities each session including Weaving, Printing, Folk Art Stitch, Pom Poms, Applique, Felt makes.

Ages 7 and up. Refreshments (water, squash and biscuits) available.

Walking Football at Brackley Town FC for Over 50s on their all weather pitch, Tuesday and Friday 10.30am to 11.30am. The cost is £3.00 a session and showers and tea/coffee included afterwards. Great way to meet new people and get fit.

A new session for Over 50s who still work will start in September and is likely to be on Sundays.

MAKE A POMPOM LAUNCHER

Wednesday 3rd August 10:30-11:30 Brackley Library

Join Brackley Library for a fun Gadgeteers Summer Reading Challenge craft in the library!

They'll be making pompom launchers! This event is free of charge and no booking is required. Suitable for children of all ages but younger children may require a bit more help from a parent.

Please note that under 8's must be supervised by an adult when in the library and they have a strict no photo policy in all library spaces.

MAGIC AT THE GARTH

Wednesday 3rd August from 11:00am Garth Park, Bicester

Magic at the Garth is a day of fun for children and young people and takes place in Garth Park, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. A host of activities will take place for children of all ages.

There will also be community stalls, food, ice cream, and people are urged to bring a picnic and set up on the lawn near the bandstand. Children are invited to dress-up as their favourite Magician.

NATIONAL ALFA DAY

Sunday 7th August from 10:00am Bicester Heritage

AROC UK's flagship national event will be returning to Bicester Heritage following the success of 2021 which saw possibly the largest ever National Alfa Day.

This year, the event will feature lots of exciting additional features, including:

a fabulous live Italian band go-karts for kids face-painting Pirelli’s sim-racing unit
Concours competition Show & Shine competition
a land-train to help you and your family see the whole event easily.
There will be plenty of food and drink outlets or bring your own picnic!

And of course, Alfa Romeo UK will be present with their own electrifying display alongside more than a thousand Alfa Romeos all in one place!

Nothing else comes close to National Alfa Day!

Under 16s tickets are free and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Join Bicester Click and Climb on a journey to make a new friend! Your two hour session will begin with creating your new friend, once you have built your bear, they will prepare you and your cuddly friend for your climbing session. After your climb, it is time to decorate a cup cake before taking your new friend home.

Growing every single year, Ford Fair now in its 37th year returns to Silverstone in 2022 for another unforgettable event. With over 5,000 cars on display and 18,000 guests attending last year, Ford Fair is the ‘must attend’ event for Blue Oval fans. There’s so much variety in the Ford scene, and this is the show that brings all that variety together.

Saturday 20th August from 12:00noon Fleet Farm, Stuchbury, Sulgrave, Banbury OX17 2HS

Robert Owned R Henn Motors in Middleton Cheney, Banbury and worshiped his loyal customers and friends. This event will be held in his memory to raise money for Crohns and Colitis UK and The Rowan Ward at the Horton Hospital who looked after him so well. RAF UPPER HEYFORD COLD WAR AIRBASE TOUR 21 AUGUST 2022

Sunday 21st August 9:30am – 2:30pm Upper Heyford Heritage

Join Brackley Library for Time Trial Creations - a fun Gadgeteers Summer Reading Challenge event in the library!

Each round they will look at an invention or discovery which changed our world and then they'll challenge you to make a related model out of play dough before the timer runs out! There will be prizes each round and it's sure to be good fun!

This event is free of charge and no booking is required. Suitable for children of all ages but younger children may require a bit more help from a parent.

HOT AIR BALLOON CRAFT

Wednesday 31st August 10:30am – 11:30pm Brackley Library

Join Brackley Library on Wednesday 31st August from 10:30am-11:30am for the last event from our Gadgeteers Summer Reading Challenge programme!

They will be making colourful hot air balloons which you can leave here to dry then take home another day. They'll be using lots of PVA glue so please come in clothes that you don't mind getting messy in!
