BRACKLEY JUBILEE CHOIR

Brackley Jubilee Choir is a mixed voice choir based in Brackley, Northamptonshire.
The choir was originally formed in 1977 to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee, and since then has built an enviable reputation of successfully performing a number of challenging Sacred Music, Classical, Modern and Musical Theatre concerts. New members are always welcome to join them at their rehearsal evenings and there is no requirement for auditions or to read music.

MENTAL HEALTH FRIENDS DROP IN SESSION

Every Thursday (during term time) from 1:00pm Brackley Leisure Centre

Mental Health Friends welcome you to join them at at their drop in session.

These are very informal friendly meets and a place to have a coffee with others with lived experience of mental health.

There is no pressure to join in with anything or to speak.

Claire Readman is more than happy to meet you in the car park, reception or you are able to enter via the recreation centre field. Only a few years ago she couldn't enter a room with people, rarely left the house and she hit rock bottom, so she will do whatever she can to help you and make you more comfortable.

No question is a silly question, please ask if you would like to know anything at all.

BRACKLEY JUBILEE CHOIR

Brackley Jubilee Choir is a mixed voice choir based in Brackley, Northamptonshire.
The choir was originally formed in 1977 to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee, and since then has built an enviable reputation of successfully performing a number of challenging Sacred Music, Classical, Modern and Musical Theatre concerts. New members are always welcome to join them at their rehearsal evenings and there is no requirement for auditions or to read music.

MENTAL HEALTH FRIENDS DROP IN SESSION

Every Thursday (during term time) from1:00pm Brackley Leisure Centre

Mental Health Friends welcome you to join them at at their drop in session.

These are very informal friendly meets and a place to have a coffee with others with lived experience of mental health.

There is no pressure to join in with anything or to speak.

Claire Readman is more than happy to meet you in the car park, reception or you are able to enter via the recreation centre field. Only a few years ago she couldn't enter a room with people, rarely left the house and she hit rock bottom, so she will do whatever she can to help you and make you more comfortable.

No question is a silly question, please ask if you would like to know anything at all.

ARMED FORCES DAY

Saturday 29th June 12:00noon – 10:00pm Brackley Rugby Club

Brackley British Legion and Brackley Rugby Club will once again be hosting Armed Forces day. This years event will see the introduction of GLADIATORS, well for children, a soft play with four activities.

In addition to Gladiators, there will be Music from local bands and musicians, food & drink and much more to entertain everyone from 13.00 - 22.00.

Armed Forces Day was originally known as Veterans Day and commenced on 27th June 2006. The date was chosen to commemorate the investiture of the first Victoria Cross in Hyde Park in 1857. In 2009 the original name for the event changed from Veterans Day to Armed Forces Day, and in June this year we will once again celebrate the event.

The event will commence from 12.00 a full timetable of acts will be published and distributed once the running order has been finalised. However, we aim to start with a soft rock band from Milton Keynes and will end with JennaH who will bring the curtain down later into the evening.
