MORSBAGS – SAVING THE PLANET ONE BAG AT A TIME

Friday 3rd July from 10:00 Stitching Kitchen, Top Station Road, Brackley

In a small way we can change the world! Come and spend sometime creating morsbags with friendly like minded sewists in the Stitching Kitchen. Morsbags are a global movement - making reusable bags from fabric which would have otherwise ended up in landfill.

Not only are we helping to reduce waste, but also preventing the excessive use of plastic bags. The only rule is to create, recycle, give away and enjoy.

The Stitching Kitchen Pod has so far made 937 Morsbags, please join them to help reach their next milestone! As always tea and biscuits are provided, you can borrow a sewing machine if you don't have one of your own to bring. This workshop like the morsbags is free!

Tuesday 7th July from 10:30am Brackley Care Home

Join Brackley Care Home for tea, coffee and cake followed by a screening of “ A Little Chaos” starring Kate Winslet and Matthias Schoenaerts.

Arrive at 10:30am for tea, coffee and cake. The movie will start at 11:00am. Popcorn, sweets and refreshments will be served during the movie. This is a free event. All welcome.



BRACKLEY FORGET ME NOT COMMUNITY CAFE.

Wednesday 8th July 2:00pm – 4:00pm Brackley Baptist Church

A monthly group, set up for those with dementia or other memory loss illnesses along with their caregivers.

They meet at Brackley Baptist Church in their meeting room. It's a really nice space, and you will be welcomed with a cuppa and cake.

It is a friendly, informal afternoon with activities, music, singing, and conversation.



BITE CLUB

Friday 10th July 5:00pm – 9:00pm Egerton Hall, Brackley

Bite Club pop up returns for its monthly visit of great street food, drinks and music. The deal is simple, come hungry, leave happy. (Bite Club is every second Friday of the month until the end of the year)



SATURDAY SEWCIAL – DROP IN SEWING SESSION

Saturday 11th July 10:00am – 3:00pm Stitching Kitchen, Top Station Road, Brackley

Bring along your current project and use the studio to spread out and enjoy some uninterupted sewing time. Stitch and chatter your way into the weekend at Stitching Kitchen with wonderful like-minded sewists.

The studio is open 10am to 3pm and you can drop in during this time, bring your machine or borrow one in the studio and get your half finished projects done!

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE LAUNCH EVENT

It’s that time of year again when we have the school summer holiday and also the start of the Summer Reading Challenge. Bring your kids along to the library and sign them up! All they have to do is read 6 books over the break to win certificates, stickers, a medal and a crochet googly eyed Yip Yip. This is a fundraising event so the library can run free activities throughout the holiday.

There are crafts and activities at the library throughout the break every Tuesday 2:00pm – 3:30pm and Thursday 10:30am – 12:00noon.

TAYLOR’S VETS COMMUNITY DOG WALK

Sunday 19th July from 10:00am Meet at Taylor’s Vets Branch, Market Place, Brackley

Announcing Taylor’s Vets next community dog walk, they had huge success with their last walk, so they thought they’d get another one in the diary.

The walk is open to everyone; clients, non clients and those without dogs, and the walk is free to attend.

They will be starting from their Brackley Branch in the Market Place, you’ll follow an easy to walk route before ending at The Old Firestation cafe.
Please note:

• All dogs must remain on a lead
• They recommend nervous dogs use a yellow lead or wear a yellow bandana to help identify them

Please bring your own: Poo bags, Refreshments, Treats, Suitable footwear
