The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) was created by The Reduced Shakespeare Company and first performed in California by the original authors in June 1987 and subsequently at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the same year.

An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays***, *** the comedy ran for nine years in London’s West End at the Criterion Theatre.

For three nights in May a cast of three actors will deliver all 37 plays (and the sonnets) in just 97 minutes.

If you already like Shakespeare, you are sure to like this show. If you think you hate Shakespeare, think again! This hilarious take is far removed from any memories of stuffy and boring lessons that you may have endured.

  Brackley British Legion and Brackley Rugby Club will once again be hosting Armed Forces day on Saturday 29th June 2024 at Brackley Rugby Club. This years event will see the introduction of GLADIATORS, well for children, a soft play with four activities. In addition to Gladiators, there will be Music from local bands and musicians, food & drink and much more to entertain us from 13.00 - 22.00. Armed Forces Day was originally known as Veterans Day and commenced on 27th June 2006. The date was chosen to commemorate the investiture of the first Victoria Cross in Hyde Park in 1857. In 2009 the original name for the event changed from Veterans Day to Armed Forces Day, and in June this year we will once again celebrate the event. The event will commence from 12.00 a full timetable of acts will be published and distributed once the running order has been finalised.
