It’s amazing what you can find when you have a good hunt around, luckily you don’t have to! Brackley Events Watcher has their beady eyes looking for events in and around Brackley. Here is what we found this week.
MAIZEMANIA
From Thursday 29th July, Shalstone Grounds Farm, Shalstone, Buckingham MK18 5NE
Maizemania is open again for their 3rd year. They have a new design and hope you will have loads of fun finding all the clues.
They are opening on 29th July and have some new things for the summer including a mini maze for the younger age group. Adults £6 children £5 under 3 free, no booking required and dogs on leads very welcome. Cash and cards accepted.
They really look forward to seeing you all this summer for some family fun.
LIMES FARM SUMMER TRAIL,
From Wednesday 28th July, Limes Farm DriveThru, Farthinghoe
Enjoy the farm grounds and enter their Ocean conservation trail and meet some of the creatures that live in our oceans by following the mermaid trail.
£4.50 per entry. Pick up your map at the DriveThru.

Open Wednesday- Sunday all the way thought it the summer holidays
This summers trail has many more stops and £1 goes towards the Underwater gallery project in Sri Lanka- on completion you can choose a fidget toy and the Sri Lankan tourist board have donated a hand carved keyring for everyone
COMMUNITY QUIZ NIGHT
Every Thursday from 8:00pm. The Chequered Flag, Brackley.
Hosted by Andy Bannard, join in and have a laugh with The Chequered Flag’s Community quiz night raising money for good causes. £2 per person. It’s the easiest way to raise money for your local group or organisation! If you are interested in having your own quiz night at the pub, please get in touch with them.

Back in Brackley Library with a full market! Not only will they have the normal Bakes, Handcrafted Goodies and Home Grown but they have a wonderful new supplier of local Honey.

We all deserve a great evening out after this year, so treat yourselves to an evening's brilliant live entertainment at the new Village Hall!
A variety of local acts from the surrounding area will entertain you as you sit at your table with waiter service from the bar.

TOVE OLYMPICS

The Olympics come to Tove!
Tove Benefice are delighted to
announce that they will be running a children's Olympics trail around
their Church yard. This is a free event for children of all ages to
come along, play some games and have some fun! Come along at any time
between 2 and 4pm to join in.
They will also be offering tea,
coffee, squash and cake to keep your energy levels up!

CYANOTYPING AT STOWE

Join Stowe house for an experimental art-making workshop inspired by the beauty and history of Stowe House. Try your hand at cyanotyping - a Victorian era invention and cousin of photography. Capture images using sunlight, a careful mix of chemicals and water.

The Tempest' comes to Sulgrave Manor!
Join open-air Shakespeare specialists The Pantaloons on a voyage to an enchanted island full of adventure, romance, magic and… monsters!
Expect music and mayhem, poetry and puppetry in the Bard’s brilliant tale of shipwrecks, sorcerers and silly servants.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the performance starting at 7pm.

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
Throughout the school summer holiday. Brackley Library
Sign your children up for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge and encourage them to read during the school break. They have to read at least 6 books and will collect stickers and a medal and certificate along the way. Also keep an eye out for Creation Club craft packs that are available to collect from the library. The best part is it’s completely free.
